Big thanks to Rawls E for nominating me for this fun tag! The idea behind this tag is to pick a book for the five emoji’s you use most.
The Very Frown-y Emoji
For this emoji, I’m going to pick a book that I was expecting a lot from and got, well, a big frown.
I’m going to go with my current read, Girl Online by Zoe Sugg. Not only is the cover for this book amazing, but the idea behind it is pretty great too. I don’t want to go too much into detail (I’ll save that for my review), but needless to say this book is a big let down.
The Smirk Face Emoji
To me, the smirk face is little… naughty (for lack of a better word). So I’m going to choose a book with romance that just gave me all the feels.
I’m going with The Duff by Kody Keplinger. It was extremely entertaining, sexy, and smirk face worthy.
The Expressionless/ Flat Face Emoji
I usually use this emoji when a friend says something stupid (which apparently happens a lot) or I’m just really bored (which also apparently happens a lot). So I’m going to choose a book that bored me with it’s stupidity.
I hate to say it, but the book I’m choosing is The Maze Runner by James Dashner. I tried to read this book on three different occasions, and quit half way through both times. I don’t know why, but it just bored me to the point where I fell asleep in the middle of a chapter (which literally never happens to me).
The Heart-Eyes Emoji
For the heart-eyes emoji I am going to choose a book that gives me all the feels and seriously makes me want to fall in love.
I had to think hard about this one… mostly because of the huge amount of adorable book couples. I’m going to go with Lyra and Will from His Dark Materials series by Philip Pullman. Something about the subtle romance in the books just hits me in the heart. I always thought they were adorable, and wished they ended up together instead of in separate worlds.
The Nerd Emoji
I love the nerd emoji (cause I’m a nerd hehehe)! For this one, I’m going to choose a book that has a really smart “nerdy” main character.
I’m going to go with Gone by Michael Grant. Honestly I had a hard time choosing between Astrid and Annabeth (from Percy Jackson… duh). I decided to go with Astrid because she really is more of a nerd, and well, she goes to school.
I had a lot of fun doing this tag! If you want to do this tag, then I nominate you! Leave a link to your post in the comments so I can check it out!
