Recently, the hashtag Scale Back A Book was trending on twitter. A lot of them were pretty funny, so I decided to post some of my favorites here for your enjoyment!

  1. Reactions to the tweets were surprising, or maybe it’s just my odd sense of humor. Two sports-related entries that I almost didn’t post — “The Utility Infielder in the Rye” and “The Halfback of Notre Dame” — were my most popular #ScaleBackABook tweets. Dogs had a mixed day: “The Chihuahua of the Baskervilles” was popular, but “Walter the Burping Dog” got crickets. And it was a tough time for Poe: Neither “The Telltale Appendix” nor “The Purloined Tweet” got much love. Melville suffered a similar fate: “Medium-Sized Dick” didn’t catch on.
