*sings loudly and off-key* I was taaaaggggeedddddddddd to do this taaaaaggggggggg
Hey, I tried….
Alrightly, so I was tagged by the wonderful Lauren @ Comma Hangover to do the “This is my genre, tell me yours” tag. If you don’t follow Lauren yet: What are you doing? Also, if you want to check out the creator of the tag, click here.
Aaaaaaaand now for the questions (dun dun dunnnnnnn):
1. What is your favorite genre?
Okay, I see how it is. Starting with the hard questions.
Hmmm, probably fantasy. Probably. It really depends on the day.
2. Who is your favorite author from that genre?
And I thought the first question was hard.
I could probably make a list of a million authors here, because there are so many amazing ones…
Okay I’m gonna try: Kendare Blake, Sarah J. Maas, Jessica Khoury, Elizabeth Norris, Sarah Glenn Marsh, Kerstin Gier, Sarah Beard….
Like I said, the list is super long. But if you don’t know any of those authors I definitely suggest you go check them out.
3. What is it about the genre that keeps pulling you back?
I have no idea. I guess I just love the magical-ness?
4. What is the book that started your love for that genre?
Again, no idea. I’ve been reading since forever, and I can’t remember the first books that I read that made me love reading. I’ve just always loved reading.
That being said, The Percy Jackson series definitely got me reading more, even if they aren’t the books that initially started me on reading. Those are some great books!
5. If you had to recommend at least one book from your favorite genre to a non-reader/someone looking to start reading that genre, what book would you choose and why?
Anna Dressed in Blood by Kendare Blake. It’s just an amazing book. Like so amazing I have read it a million times and keep going back to read it
again because I will never tire of its amazingness.
That being said, the Percy Jackson books are also amazing, quick, funny reads. I think that anyone who is not “huge” on reading would still have an amazing time with the series, and get through those books super easily, falling in love with the story in the process!
6. Why do you read?
HAHAHAHAHA. Why does the sun shine? Why do we need to breathe oxygen? What is the purpose of life?
These questions are all of the same caliber.
And…. Scene! Great job everybody. That was wonderful. Let’s take it from the top!
AKA it’s your turn! I’mma tag some people, but even if I don’t mention you by name, YOU’RE IT!
I tag:
Lori @ Reading with Lori
Nikki @ The Night is Dark and Full of Books
Vikki @ The Mundane Teenage Life
Ooo. Anna Dressed in Blood is next on my Audio TBR after I finish Ruby Red – I just downloaded it from the library yesterday! 😀 Now I’m looking forward to it even more.
