Mandy @ Book Princess Reviews tagged me to do one of her amazing original tags!!! If you haven’t seen any of her tags before, be sure to head over to her blog and check them out!!
I also used her header graphic (as you can probably tell) because it’s adorable and more people need it in their lives. You’re welcome 🙂
This tag is all about the awesome sidekicks of Disney!! Let’s do this!!
Mushu from Mulan + Olaf and Sven from Frozen
Comic Relief- Name your favorite hilarious character or your favorite comedy/funny book
I don’t really read a lot of “funny” books, but the Percy Jackson series always cracks me up. There is a lot of witty humor, and I find myself laughing out loud every time I re-read the series.
On the character/sidekick note, Grover makes an amazing and hilarious sidekick, so I guess he’s my pick!
The Seven Dwarfs from Snow White
Favorite Group/Ensemble
Aelin’s court, especially in Empire of Storms.
I actually just finished this book, and I am seriously in love with all of the characters in Aelin’s Court. They make such a great team, and even though they have their problems, they are a family and they love each other.
****Also, if you are a Throne of Glass fan, keep an eye out for the Series Review coming up. I am going to be doing a huge ToG themed giveaway!!****
Pascal from Tangled
The loyal cheerleader chameleon (not a frog, Flynn Rider) – Name a book that started out one way but changed for you
I laughed my behind off throughout the first half of A Short History of the Girl Next Door and sobbed my way throughout the second half.
Honestly the change took me by surprise too. I was not expecting that at all. And it was so amazing!
Who knew such a small book could pack such a big punch?
Meeko from Pocahontas
Pocahontas’s sly and sneaky raccoon friend – Name a plot twist that you did not see coming
Can I use A Short History of the Girl Next Door again? Because that applies here too. But I’ll pick another one….
Little Monsters. This book literally blew me out of the water with it’s complex plot and amazingness.
This book surprised me so many times with all it’s twists and turns, and I the ending completely baffled me.
But seriously, I’m still reeling from the ending. It was SO GOOD.
Rajah from Aladdin + Flounder from The Little Mermaid
Gentle with their princess but protective with everyone else – Name your favorite best friend in a novel
Yup, I’m using Empire of Storms.. again.
Rowan!!! He is such an adorable softie with Aelin and so protective of her (even if she totally doesn’t need it). I am so in love with their love… it’s adorable!!
The rest of her court is kind of like that too, but I just love the bond between Rowan and Aelin!
Sebastian from The Little Mermaid + Cogsworth, Lumiere, and Mrs. Potts from Beauty and the Beast + Louis from The Princess and the Frog
The Musical Bunch – Name a novel where music played a big part or made you want to sing its praises
The whole plot of P.S. I Like You is dependent on music: or more specifically, lyrics.
Not only are lyrics the reason that the two MC’s met/became penpals, but Lily writes her own lyrics too.
So, naturally, there is a pretty big focus on music in the book, even if there is no actual singing or mentions of huge/famous singers and stuff.
Maximus from Tangled
The obstacle in Flynn Rider’s way – Name a character that faces a lot of obstacles
I really want to say Aelin again… but I’m going to refrain.
Hanna and Nik from Gemina. Yeah, Kady and Ezra faced a lot in Illuminae, but I liked Gemina a lot more, so there.
But seriously. Hanna and Nik have so many things stacked against them, and something new pops up at every turn. They amaze me with their resourcefulness and skills.
Hamish, Hubert, and Harris from Brave
Favorite family dynamics in a novel
Matt’s family from A Short History of the Girl Next Door.
I had to use this book again. I really think that YA is lacking a lot of good family dynamics, but this book captures it perfectly.
The family dynamic in this story is just so honest and real. The parent’s are present and actually act and talk like parents. His little brother acts like a little brother. I don’t know why that’s so hard to find in YA, but it is.
Ray from The Princess and the Frog + The 3 Fairies from Sleeping Beauty
The Advice Givers – Book that most impacted your life
There have been a lot of books that impacted my life, for various reasons.
I am going to go with Anna Dressed in Blood because it has been with me the longest and was the book that really got me to read more.
I mean, I’ve always been a big reader, but this book really pushed me into YA and spurred a greater love for books, and is one of the reasons I started blogging. It’s also one of my all time favorite books!!
So yay Anna Dressed in Blood!!
Hei Hei from Moana
Name a character that steals the show
Thomas from Stalking Jack the Ripper.
Can we just take a moment to appreciate Thomas Cresswell?
I need one.
No but seriously, Thomas is amazing and smart and funny and oh so swoon worthy! I’m probably going to re-read this a million times just to get more of him!
Gus and Jaq from Cinderella
Opposites Attract – Name your favorite or worst opposite attracts pairing
This is a FAVORITEEEEEEE:
Juliet and Declan from Letters to the Lost.
They are pretty much nothing alike, but THEY ARE SO PERFECT FOR EACH OTHER!!!
I need more of them. Can we please have a follow up novella?
Yayyyy now I get to tag people!!!
But I’ve been doing a whole lot of tags lately, so instead of naming people again (because I’m nice and I’ll give you a break), I’m just going to say EVERYBODY is tagged, and you get to decide if you want to do it or not!!!
Thanks for reading!!
Percy Jackson is such a great choice for funny character, he cracks me up! All those books in general are goofy in the best way.

Can you believe I haven’t read the ToG series yet?! It’s on my TBR, because every time people talk about a book from that series I feel left out! I’m going to join the club one of these days…

Can I get a Thomas Cresswell as well while we are at it? XD Grover was one fantastic sidekick as well. He was hilarious and so much fun. And I remembered that you said A Short History was good, but you have me SO hyped up for this one now. Each time it was mentioned I was like, dang it, I need to read this even faster than I thought before. SO SO excited for it. And PS I Like You was brilliant as the music book. 😀 Thanks so much for doing the tag, and your answers were so, so much fun. 😀 Wonderful post! 🙂
