Hey guys! Yet another year is coming to an end. Can you believe it? It feels like 2017 has flown by (not that I’m complaining). 2018 will hopefully be a great year, and I can’t wait to see what it has in store.
Anyway, with the end of the year fast approaching, I thought it would be fun to talk about my favorite 2017 releases.
There were So Many Good Books this year, but I’m going to showcase my top five, and hopefully convince you guys to read some of these amazing books.
My Top 5 2017 Releases:
5. Little Monsters by Kara Tomas
Most likely to: twist your mind into knots
Little Monsters was such a surprise. I’m not usually one for dark, twisty mysteries, but this one swept me away. I was guessing the whole time.
The character development and plot was amazing. It was so complex and intriguing!

4. The Wood by Chelsea Bobulski
Most likely to: make you scared of the forest
The Wood was so dark and gorgeous. I fell in love with the characters so quickly.
This one also had some surprises, and the ending left me wanting more.
Chelsea: if you are reading this, will there be a follow up? Please?

3. Alex, Approximately by Jenn Bennett
Most likely to: make you swoon
I love a good mistaken-identity book, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint.
This book was swoony and adorable without being too fluffy. There were definitely grittier moments, which is perfect for people like me who normally don’t love contemporary YA romance books.

2. A Short History of the Girl Next Door by Jared Reck
Most likely to: Reck your heart (haha see what I did there?)
THE TEARS!!!! THE HEARTBREAK!!!!
This book completely blew me out of the water. Whatever I was expecting, it certainly wasn’t that.
But MY GOSH, what a book.

1. Letters to the Lost by Brigid Kemmerer
Most likely to: take a second look at the bad boy
Yet another mistaken-identity book makes it onto my list. Why? BECUASE THEY ARE SO GOOD AND THIS ONE IS AMAZING AND OH MY GOSH AHHHHHHHHHHH
I need to stop. BUT I CAN’T AHHHHHHHHHHHHH
Alright I’m really done this ti- AHHHHHHHHHHH

Really happy to see Letters to the Lost on your list! I picked up a signed copy from the author and got the chance to hear her talk on a panel this past year, so I really need to pick it up and read it!
