Books I’ve Read This Year:
I’m definitely missing some in there… but that’s most of them.
I’ve read HPD and the first 3 in the TOG series too. I loved them all but Heir of Fire. That one wasn’t as enjoyable as the first two for me.

Oh no! I loved Heir of Fire and 4 & 5! But I’ve met a lot of people who liked the first two best. The third onward take a very different tone, but I guess I just like the direction they went in!

Yeah, I think for me, I disliked Dorian’s new relationship, and wasn’t a fan of Rowan, so it just felt different. I hope I enjoy the next one though!

Yeah, Dorian’s relationship wasn’t my favorite either tbh. I do love Rowan though. I am really excited for the next one!! I hope you enjoy it too!

I also read Caraval this year, and I personally enjoyed it, but I know many didn’t. Which side did you fall on?
I’ve also read Red Queen (I wasn’t a fan) and Me Before You (I was a fan).
Many of the books you read this year are on my TBR though, particularly Illuminae, When Breath Becomes Air, Cinder, and The Letters to the Lost. Maybe I’ll get to one of them this year?
Happy reading in 2018!

I was honestly really disappointed with Caraval. I wanted to like it so badly and it fell short. I do want to read the next one though. I feel like the world has so much potential!
I really enjoyed Red Queen and the sequels (sorry to hear that you weren’t! I’ve heard that from a lot of people), and Me Before You was pretty good too (although I did kind of like the movie better).
I really hope you enjoy the other books!! I loved Letters to the Lost so much! It’s one of my all time favorites now. The other three are really good as well.
Happy reading to you too!!!

Ooh I haven’t ready any of your favorite ones… I’ll have to look into them!

Hex was my most favourite. I love books written by people in other countries (the author is Dutch) because of the insights you get into how that culture thinks.

That is so cool! I’ll definitely check it out. I love books that were written by foreign authors because of the insights you can get from them. It’s so cool!
