Hey guys! So I’m still over here trying to process how it is 2018?!?!? It doesn’t feel real yet.
Anyway, it’s been a week, and the only thing I have read so far is the prologue of Empire of Storms. So, I decided to make a TBR for January that will hopefully motivate me to want to read more!
My TBR is going to be pretty short, mostly because school is starting up again and I sadly won’t have that much time to actually sit down and read. So here we go (titles will be links to Goodreads)!
January TBR:
1. Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
This book is a re-read for me. I re-read books 1-4 in December, and this is the last one before finally getting to Tower of Dawn (which I haven’t read yet at all!). I know I am going to love this one, and this time when I finish it I’ll actually write a review! Hehe.
2. Tower of Dawn by Sarah J. Maas
I’ve heard this book surpassed a lot of people’s expectations, so I’m pretty excited to start it! Hopefully I’ll love it as much as I love the other Throne of Glass books!
3. Run by Kody Keplinger
I actually started this book already, but I’m only about 15 pages in, so I’m not really sure what to think of it yet. I loved both The D.U.F.F. and A Midsummer’s Nightmare by Keplinger, so I’m hoping to love this one too!
4. Frostblood by Elly Blake
I don’t know if I am going to have time to get to this one, but I hope I do. It’s been sitting on my shelf for a long while now, and I’ve heard it’s really good from a lot of people, so I’m pretty excited for it!
i stopped doing tbrs. i just want to read what i am in the mood for 😀

I’m soooo with you on this sista!! My TBR from 2017 is like 8397274923794723984792349 books long, I’m almost scared to go through it. At this point I just go for whatever suits my mood. #moodreadersunite ❤

I’m pretty much a mood reader too… but I thought I’d give TBR making a try! I guess I’ll just have to wait and see how it goes!

That’s probably what I’m going to end up doing anyway, but I’ve never made a short term one before and I thought I’d give it a try!

Ooh, I loved Run! Although I haven’t read all of Kody Keplinger’s books, I am a pretty big fan of hers! I hope you enjoy it😊

I hope I enjoy it too! I love her writing so much! Have you ever read Jenn Bennett’s books? If you like Kody Keplinger’s writing, you will probably like hers too!

Otherworld, A Gathering of Shadows, Challenger Deep, and Tales of Beedle the Bard. I only make TBR’s for readathons.

I haven’t heard of that one! What is the goal?

It’s on youtube. There’s reading challenges, video challenges, Instagram challenges and blog challenges. There really isn’t any goal.

Ooh, great TBR!! I hope you enjoy all your SJM books haha & get through all your books! My January TBR is basically made of books I got from my December haul (City of Brass, Forest of a Thousand Lanterns, Moxie, Girls Made of Snow and Glass!).

I read Heir of Fire last year so I’ll have to continue the series this year! Haven’t read them before so it’s all new for me, haha. Definitely looking forward to it though. 😀
Happy reading!

I’m so excited/terrified about EoS and ToD! Why? Because the whole series has been disappointing me ever since HoF and I have no idea what to expect… On one hand, I’m super attache to it and want to finish it but on the other, I don’t feel the same pull towards the story anymore. I’m a big Chaol fan, though, so I’m definitely going to read his book. Everything else after that is a mystery.
I really hope you enjoy ToD and all the other books on this list, Em! And a very happy 2018 to you ❤ (it does feel strange saying it hahaha)

I’ve heard so many people say they were disappointed by the series after HoF, but I’m the exact opposite! I loved HoF, QoS, and EoS so much! They definitely are very different from the first two, but I guess I just really liked the change. I hope that you like them if/when you read them!

That’s great to hear! I think I’m biased because of what happened with Chaol and some other characters… Maybe the series isn’t that bad, it just took a major turn that doesn’t really appeal to me. We’ll see how it goes, though!
Thank you 🙂
