Art Print Giveaway!!

Hi guys! Life’s been kind of crazy lately (due to finals coming up), so I haven’t had as much time to read and write as much as I would like to. But my day was made a million times better when I got an art print in the mail from Madame Memento on Etsy!

I’ve teamed up with this shop to do a fun limg_1495ittle giveaway, meaning you have the chance to win your choice of art print from their store! Here is the one they sent me:

Isn’t it gorgeous!

I chose this Alice in Wonderland print because 1) I love Alice in Wonderland, and 2) it’s always good to embrace the crazy side of life (especially when yours is as hectic as mine)!

The print is on a page with French writing, and I am loving how it looks on my wall! Madam Memento has a whole bunch of beautiful prints for the lucky winner to choose from, so no mater what your style, this is not a giveaway you are going to want to miss out on.

Giveaway!! The MacBath Literary Collection

Hi guys! So today I have a pretty awesome giveaway for you: Literary goat milk soaps from The MacBath!! How cool is that? I saw them and I literally just fell in love (and you will too… just wait). Rachel (the amazing woman behind the store) sent me some soaps and lotion to try out, and you will have the chance to win some too!

img_1193

So here is what I was sent. I got Gryffindor soap (because I’m a Gryffindor, obviously. No, but seriously I have taken the pottermore quiz a million times and I always get Gryffindor), I got a Sherlock Holmes soap (because I have been obsessed with Sherlock lately, and he is only the most awesome detective in the universe…. sorry Nancy Drew), and I got the Prefects bathroom lotion. Needless to say (although I’m going to say it anyway) I was thrilled when I opened the package. Everything is so cute and IT SMELLED AMAZING. Like seriously I just sat there sniffing it for 10 minutes. And then I took each thing out and sniffed some more. Don’t judge, you’d probably do it too.

The first thing I noticed when I picked up the Gryffindor soap was the bag, cause ya know, it’s in the bag. The bag feels like a good solid fabric, and I know I’m going to keep it around to fill with stuff when the soap is gone. And also the writing on it is beautiful (both the font and the words).

You might belong in Gryffindor
Where dwell the brave of heart.
Their daring, nerve, and chivalry,
Set Gryffindors apart.

The soap itself is also insanely beautiful, and has the Gryffindor insignia carved in it and filled with glitter. And the smell. Oh my gosh (and yes, I’m pretty sure half of this post is going to be me telling you how much I love the smell). It is called “spicy pepperberry” and I don’t really know how else to explain it except that is one of the most marvelous things I’ve ever smelled.

Here’s a little slide show of the Gryffindor soap:

Next is the Sherlock Holmes soap. The bag is just as beautiful and has one of the best Sherlock quotes on it:

Watson, come at once if convenient. If inconvenient, come all the same.

Ahh, that quote gets me every time. The soap has the second half of that quote written on it. The soaps smell is rosewood and vanilla. It’s smell is not as strong as the other one, but just as amazing. It is now a smell I’m going to forever associate with anything Sherlock Holmes and I am 110% happy with that! Here’s a little slideshow of that soap:

The lotion is also super amazing. Its thick and actually feels like it is moisturizing your skin. It’s blackberry and sage scented which is the actual heaven of lotions. Also the bottle is super cute (which I have to point out because I am a lover of all things cute). Here’s a picture of the lotion:

So now you beautiful people have the chance to win a soap or lotion of your choice! I promise you won’t be disappointed. And, just incase you don’t win, Rachel clued me in that all of the Christmas products (which I’m sure are just as amazing at any time of the year) are 50% off if you use the promo code 50OFF at check out! Giveaway- Custom Book Cover Canvas Painting

Hey everybody! These past few weeks have been kind of crazy for me! I am visiting my best friend for a month, so we have had a lot of catching up to do (and we also kind of went on an impromptu cross-country road trip…. hehe). But it’s been great so far.

I also have been working behind the scenes for about two months now to line up giveaways for you amazing readers, one of which is going live today!

The wonderful Rachel over at REArtByRachel on Etsy (and Instagram) has teamed up with me to give you guys a chance to win a 16″x20″ canvas painting of your favorite book cover!! (which by the way would normal cost you $65!)

Rachel was nice enough to make me a 9″x12″ painting of one of my favorite book covers (and I say “one of my” because lets be honest here: picking between my favorite books would be like a mother picking her favorite child). Because I had just finished reading The Hundred Lies of Lizzie Lovett (read my review here) I decided to pick that cover.

As you can see, the painting is stunning! It looks just like the cover! I love it so much!

And now you have a chance to win one of your very own! All you have to do is click the rafflecopter link below and follow the giveaway instructions. Good luck!

Book Locket Giveaway

Hey guys! So I was lucky enough to be able to team up with Dino Stories on Etsy to bring you this wonderful giveaway! If you win this giveaway you will receive a custom cover book locket!

Dino Stories was kind enough to send me a sample necklace, and I chose the Standard Book of Spells: Grade One by Miranda Goshawk (which is one of the text books Harry Potter uses, for those of you who don’t know).

The necklace took about two weeks to arrive, mostly due to the fact that Dino Stories is based out of Australia. When it got here and I opened the package, the locket was wrapped 1in an adorable little package! It felt like Christmas in July!

I opened up the little pouch and the locket inside was wrapped nicely with a piece of plastic so it wouldn’t get tangled or damaged on it’s long trek around the world.

4When you order a locket, you can choose between a 16″, 18″, and 20″ chain. I got the 20″ chain, and the chain that came was a true 20″. It feels like a sturdy material, so I feel comfortable wearing it around without fearing that it will tangle or break.

The cover on the necklace is absolutely beautiful! It looks 5exactly like the picture that is advertised on Dino Stories Etsy store, and I could not be more happy with it! The color is stunning, and the title is very easy to read.

8The locket opens up fairly easily (but don’t worry, there’s no way it would open on its own) and there are places to put pictures on both sides of the locket. Now I just need to print some small pictures!

So now for the exciting part! You have a chance to win one of your very own lockets, and you can have any cover you want on the front! All you have to do to enter is comment what book cover you want on the front of your locket in the comment section below! And ta da! You are entered!

Please share this giveaway with anyone you think would be interested! I’m looking forward to seeing what book covers you choose!

*UPDATE* winner has been chosen and contacted. Thank you to everyone who participated!!

June Book Haul and Ottlite Lamp Giveaway

I have some very exciting news!  Along with getting some amazing new books in the mail, I have teamed up with Ottlite to giveaway two incredible lamps. How cool is that!?! So, lets get started!

Here is my June book haul:

kkkkk

  • Autobiography of a Serial Killer by Travis D. Bickel
  • Error Code by R.K. Howard
  • Hang-Ups and Hangovers by Kyle Milligan
  • Billy Bedivere in the Quest for the Dragon Queen by Alan Sproles
  • Boundaries by Jim Steinberg
  • Filling Up In Cumby and Other Stories by Jim Steinberg
  • Last Night at the Vista Café by Jim Steinberg

IMG_1841These books were all sent to me by their respective authors, and I am so excited to read them! You know what else is exciting? Hang-Ups and Hangovers was signed… check it out! Big thanks to Kyle Milligan for that. Signed books make me feel all warm and fuzzy.

Anyway, lets get to the part you have all been waiting for: the giveaway! As I said earlier, I have teamed up with Ottlite, a lamp company who brings daylight inside with their one of a kind natural daylight blub. You can check out their website here.

I was sent two lights by Ottlite:

The Color Spectrum Lamp is better than I ever imagined. It is sturdy and beautifully made. The controls are easy to use and activate with the touch of a finger. There is no need to press or click anything. It has three brightness levels that you can access in sequential order. One touch for the lowest setting; two for the middle; and three for the brightest.

Surrounding the ON button is the color spectrum. With just a touch it lights up the base of the lamp and is capable of turning 256 different colors. Yup, you read that right. 256 colors! All you have to do it touch the color you want the base to be and it turns that color!

The neck of the lamp is super flexible, and can bend all over the place. It is easy to position and holds a wide variety of poses very well. On the back of the lamp is the power cord and a USB port.

Oh, and incase you were wondering, I used the lamp light in the pictures I took of the books. Hehe. Anyway, here is a slideshow of pictures I took of the lamp.

This slideshow requires JavaScript.

I got the LED Book Light in red. It has one brightness setting and turns on and off by a button on the top. It is surprisingly bright, so there will be no need to squint while you are curled up reading in your bed (or wherever you like to read).

The light can be powered from two power sources: a plug in the back or 3 AAA batteries. The instructions say not to use the plug while the batteries are in, because it will mess with the DC power and cause the lamp to short. Other than that small hazard, it is extremely useful to have two power sources (especially to me who has no AAA batteries. I looked everywhere).

The neck of the book light is very flexible and bends all sorts of crazy directions. In case you haven’t figured it out by now, I love bending lamps. It just makes me so happy (don’t ask me why).

The light can stand on it’s base or clip onto a book (or in my case the edge of a table). It has a special grip on the clip so it doesn’t slip off. I just realized how much that sentence rhymed. I feel like I should be a poet now….. or a rapper…. I really do love the grip though. It’s great!

Here is my slideshow of Book Light images:

And those are my two new lovely lamps. And now you have a chance to win both of them (except brand new from Ottlite)! You want to know how? Well I’ll tell you how.

To enter the giveaway, all you have to do is make sure you are following Keystroke Blog (if you don’t know how just look in the sidebar) and share this post on either Facebook or Twitter using the hashtag #KeystrokeOttliteGiveaway ! Then leave a comment on this post saying “done” so I know who entered. How easy is that!?

The winner will be chosen on June 26th by random selection. This giveaway is only open to those in the US and Canada excluding Quebec. So before you enter make sure you live there or have an address in those areas that you can use if you win. The winner will be contacted, informing them of their win, and will have 24 hour to respond before a new winner is chosen.

Oh, and don’t forget to check out Ottlite’s website here. They have a huge variety of unbelievably amazing products for all sorts of different purposes!

Good luck entering!
